[Acne] Have been using La Roche Posay Effaclar duo for 7 weeks and am breaking out like crazy Acne I bought this in France so I think it is the European one with salicylic acid, I have been sticking to it thinking it’s just a purge, but now at 7 weeks with lots of breakouts and red marks - should I continue or give up? Has anyone tried the la roche-posay effaclar duo (US version)? All ive heard is that its amazing (mostly from Brits who most likely have the milder version made in France), but my skin has gone mad. I used it the night I bought it and the next morning, my skin was burning, itchy, red, and extremely dry. here's the full product ingredients list from their site: aqua / water / eau (la roche-posay prebiotic thermal water) • glycerin • pentaerythrityl tetraethylhexanoate • propylene glycol• ammonium polyacryloyldimethyl taurate • polysorbate 60 • ceramide np • niacinamide • sodium chloride • coco-betaine • disodium edta
I have combination-oily skin and double cleanse every evening with The Ordinary's Squalane Cleanser and CeraVe's foaming cleanser. As for retinol, I'm considering buying La Roche Posay's Retinol B3 Serum. So, how likely am I to be dealing with a nightmare purge? If anyone's used the LRP Retinol B3 Serum, please tell me about your experience.
I've been using LRP Effaclar Duo for about two weeks and it has been drying out my skin and skin feels a lot tighter in as little as 30 mins after applying. I have oily skin and used to use basic nivea moisturiser and this. never happened before. Before moisturising i just use the effaclar cleanser. Is this normal?
La roche posay is more advanced in terms of technology they use in their skincare like the UVMune for example with the net look and new UVmune filter etc.. Also a lot of people vouch for LRP hyalu acid serum and how it gives a plumping effect immediately and being one of the most hydrating serums despite having alcohol high in the ingredient list [Review] Have only been using this for 2 weeks and the difference I’ve seen is noticeable faster than any other product I’ve used. La Roche-Posay for the win!! r/SkincareAddiction •
Isocetyl Stearate is very comodegenic (like a 5/5) and it’s the 4th ingredient in your product. I highly recommend giving your skin a break from this and seeing if it improves. It might be better to use a salicylic acid wash at night than using this product. Or try a salicylic acid serum/spot treatment. 2.
Has anyone tried the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Dual Acne Treatment with Benzoyl Peroxide? Is this a spot treatment? I’ve always used Proactiv emergency blemish relief, but I’m interested in trying this LRP product.
