Inmy experience some games that are backwards compatible can only be bought digitally on the Xbox 360. If you buy a physical copy it should work. I had the physical disc for my 360 and when I got my Xbox one I was able to just download it for free, no searching the market place required. Five Assassin's Creed games will be free to play

SoI've been wanting to play through all the AC games in order and I've reached ac3, but, when I tried to download the 360 version on disc it said that it's not available for Xbox one. I can download every other 360 assassin's creed game including black flag so I'm just curious if they've taken it off the list. This thread is archived.
