There is a wire attached to the back of the oil filter housing. Make sure to remove this. It goes to the oil pressure switch. Now remove the old valley pan "gasket" aka flat piece of metal with holes in it. Clean up the sealing surfaces that the gasket comes into contact with and replace the gasket.
