Reinsert the battery and SD card into your camera. Power on the camera and see if the screen displays anything. If the screen still doesn't display anything, try connecting the camera to a computer or TV using an HDMI cable to see if the screen displays on a different device.

Go Pro Hero 7 says "USB Commected" but isn't showing on "This Computer" in "My Computer". I purchased my GoPro Hero 7 Black a couple of weeks ago at BestBuy. Charge the GoPro by using provided USB connector and plugging it into a computer. You can also use the GoPro wall or automobile charger. If the GoPro still does not charge, please use the microSD/Micro USB Port Assembly Replacement guide to replace your assembly. A poor connection inside the Micro USB port may prevent your GoPro from charging.

Have had my GoPro Hero 5 Session for a few years. Always seemed to work fine without issue. Today I went on location to record and hit the shutter button as always and began recording. After 2 or 3 minutes I glanced at the gopro and saw the red light flashing as normaly during record, but the small display screen was black.

My Hero 10 Black has a similar problem; the front and rear screens are working but there is no image. I have formatted the SDcard, reset everything, successfully completed a manual update but it does not work.

If the LCD screen is not responding but the front screen is still working, the LCD screen may need to be replaced. However, since the LCD screen cannot be removed from the back housing, the back housing may need to be replaced. See the back housing replacement guide.
